Meghan Eagan, a Waterbury, Connecticut high school teacher was charged on four counts of sexual assault on a male student after she turned herself in to Waterbury police on Saturday afternoon.
Eagan was relatively new at her job teaching at Crosby High School, where many students remarked on the 25-year-old's beauty.
She now stands accused of having an illicit sexual affair with a male student, believed to be a high school senior, on four separate occasions between late December and January. According to local police, each of the encounters took place at Eagan's Meriden Road home.
Students aware of the alleged sexual relationship informed two of the school's vice principals and Eagan turned herself in to police on Saturday afternoon and has since been put on leave.
Eagan has been charged with four counts of second-degree sexual assault. After she posted the $100,000 bond, she was released, but is due back in court on Feb. 25.
