A football player at Tennessee State University who punched his coach has been removed from the team and expelled from the school. Latrelle Lee is a 22-year-old senior and defensive player for TSU. According to the Tennessean, the director of TSU athletics, Teresa Phillips, said Lee was expelled from the school on Monday. “We, of course, do not condone any act of violence within our department and are very disturbed by the action of one of our students. We are committed to supporting the coach who was personally affected and our concern now is with him,” said Phillips. Lee was caught on video hitting his strength and conditioning coach #TJGreenstone twice in the head, and knocking him onto the sideline of the field during a game against Southeast Missouri at Hale Stadium Saturday night. Greenstone is responsible for making sure benched players don’t get too close to the sideline during the games to avoid a penalty - players from the Tigers at that time were on the field.Lee was majoring in criminal justice and had started in two games out of 36 but didn’t play in that specific game in which the incident occurred.
