A Mississippi man is captured on surveillance video running for his life as a tornado approaches on Tuesday, according to a Facebook post by his wife.
Adrianne Richard of Marshall County said in a post on Wednesday that her husband Tennail Richard escaped being hit by a falling tree. The National Weather Service in Memphis said Friday that an EF0 tornado was spawned on Tuesday by the remnants of Hurricane Barry. Winds were clocked at 80 to 85 mph.
Adrianne Richard gives credit to God because Tennail Richard dodged the falling tree by jumping into a pond despite the fact he could not "swim a lick," she said.
Marshall County Emergency Management Director Hugh Hollowell says about a dozen homes were damaged, the Associated Press reported. Only minor injuries were reported.
